Open by default

Except where otherwise noted or an applicable exception applies, original public content published by The Rebel Marketer and its controlled TRM projects is offered under Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), solely to the extent of copyright and similar rights held by the relevant rights holders. This includes eligible original articles, editorial pages, manifestos, educational resources, illustrations, public TRM-AOS documentation and BORN IN creations. Internal, private or unpublished material does not become public through this policy.

Share, adapt and build

You may copy, redistribute, translate, remix and adapt licensed material, including commercially. Give appropriate credit, link to the licence, indicate changes and retain required notices. Shared adaptations must use CC BY-SA 4.0 or an officially compatible licence. Do not add legal or technological restrictions that contradict the licence. Private adaptations do not have to be published merely because they exist.

How to give credit

Suggested credit:
“[Title]” — [credited creator], published by [publisher], [original source URL], CC BY-SA 4.0. Changes: [describe changes / unmodified].

Use the credit stated on the particular work. For TRM-AOS documentation, preserve its stated attribution: TRM-AOS, founded by Jacques-Louis Kreiss with ChatGPT as the initial AI collaborator. Credit does not imply endorsement; this suggested format does not add licence conditions.

What is excluded

Software and automation components retain their own licences, including AGPL where stated. Names, official logos, trademarks and source-identifying marks remain separately governed. Third-party images, screenshots, quotations, fonts, embedded media and other third-party materials retain their applicable rights. Specific notices on each work take precedence. Datasets require an explicit licence and provenance statement.

Private correspondence, personal data, confidential/internal documents, security-sensitive information, unpublished work and contractually restricted assets are excluded. Personal works outside TRM are not automatically covered. Public comments and contributions are not automatically licensed by us. The Digital Rights Charter consultation admits original contributions only with explicit CC BY-SA 4.0 agreement; contributors retain rights and stated credit.

AI-assisted/generated works are covered only to the extent of protectable contributions and rights actually held. We do not claim copyright in unprotected or public-domain elements or impose attribution/ShareAlike where no relevant right applies. Editorial signatures do not establish legal ownership. Privacy, personality and other applicable rights may matter.

Earlier works and dates

Policy adopted 24 October 2026. For newly covered earlier works, the public offer takes effect when this notice is first published, on 24 October 2026, not when those works were originally published. Existing valid licences and exclusions retain their own scope and dates. Future eligible TRM works follow this default upon publication. Rights holders retain ownership. CC permissions already validly granted cannot be withdrawn from users complying with the licence, even if a notice later changes.
